Plaque to Gyula Glattfelder on hotel facade. It was inaugurated on August 20, 2001. Material: limestone. Size 80x100cm Inscription: "Móri Glattfelder Gyula, Diocesan Bishop of Csanád 1874—1943. He took up his episcopal seat in Timişoara in 1911. After the Treaty of Trianon, at the Pope's behest, he moved to Szeged in 1923. During his episcopate, gr. Kunó Klebelsberg, Minister of Culture and the leaders of the city cooperatedwith the Votive Church and the university complex. //The plaque was placed by the Municipality of Szeged on August 20, 2001 in the year of the Millennium." - Gyula Glattfelder was diocesan bishop of Csanád from 1911 to 1943. The square in front of Hotel Novotel (former Hotel Hungaria) has been named after him since May 21, 2001 by decision of the General Assembly of the City of Szeged. - Glattfelder Gyula tér, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
