Description
English:
Mayor's Office City Hall, and in 2022 here is the Gyula District Document (ID card, passport etc.) Office, former County Hall. On the east wing/building (same house number) was the Békés County Government Office District Office (in 2022). The former State Construction Office was built in historic style on the eastern side of the former county hall in 1927, the architect of which was Gedeon Gerlóczy. It was built in two phases with different facades, but it is a unit building, now used as City Hall. The doorway, staircase, ceremonial hall are representative. The banquet hall is decorated with a gallery with a coffered ceiling and three bronze glass chandeliers. The ground floor rooms are still vaulted today. Baroque-Neo-Renaissance, built between 1777 and 1791 by János Linczbauer. It was expanded between 1876 and 1877 according to the plans of Ede Lederer. As a county hall, this building served as the county hall until 1950, after which the office was transferred to Békéscsaba. There are four plaques: '2000' so-called. Millennium commemorative plaque, below it is the memorial plaque of János Nádházi, chairman of the 56th Revolutionary Committee of Gyula (2016); the monument plaque inscription ~"At its core was a baroque building. According to the plans of János Linzbauer (1773). It was remodeled at the end of the nineteenth century." under its is the Petőfi memorial plaque with inscription ~"According to contemporary tradition, it was in this building that Sándor Petőfi gave his last political speech in July 1849" - 3 Petőfi Square, Downtown, Gyula, Békés County, Hungary.

Polgármesteri Hivatal, 2022-ben a Járási Hivatal Okmányirodája is itt van. Városháza, volt Megyeháza. A homlokzaton 2000. évi ún. Milleniumi emléktábla alatta pedig Nádházi János 56-os gyulai forradalmi bizottsági elnök emléktáblája (2016). Műemléktábla felirata "Magjában barokk épület volt magyaháza. Linzbauer János tervei szerint (1773). A XIX.század végén átalakították." alatt Petőfi emléktábla felirata "A kortársi hagyomány szerint ebben az épületben mondta el az utolsó politikai beszédét Petőfi Sándor 1849 juliusában" - A történeti városközpontban álló, a településképet meghatározó, az egykori településszerkezetet, telekosztást őrző épület. A volt megyeháza keleti oldalához 1927-ben épült historizáló stílusban az egykori Állami Építési Hivatal, melynek építésze Gerlóczy Gedeon volt. Két ütemben, eltérő homlokzattal épült, de egy egységet alkotó épület, mely ma Városháza és Békés Megyei Kormányhivatal Járási Hivatala. Reprezentatív a kapualj, lépcsőház, díszterem térsor. A díszterem karzatos, kazettás mennyezetű, három bronz üvegcsillár díszíti. A földszinti helyiségek ma is boltozottak. Barokk-neoreneszánsz, épült 1777-1791 között építész Linczbauer János volt. Bővítették 1876-1877 között Lederer Ede tervei szerint. Megyeházaként 1950-ig ez az épület töltötte be a vármegyeháza funkciót, majd a hivatalt áthelyezték Békécsabára.
