DescriptionGelbe Flechte (Flecken, Wangerooge).jpg	Deutsch: Die Flechte hier wuchs auf den Klinkersteinen des Gebäudes der Gemeindeverwaltung Wangerooge. Die senkrechte Wandfläche ist nach Süden hin zur Peterstraße ausgerichtet. Die Zahlen des Maßstabes stehen für Zentimeter. Solche gelben Flechten sind auf der Insel sowie auch am küstennahmen Festland sehr verbreitet. Sie wachsen auf Steinen, Dächern und zum Beispiel auch auf Bäumen. Vieles spricht dafür, dass es die Gelbflechte (Xanthoria parietina) ist, es könnte aber auch die Goldgelbe Schönflechte ( Caloplaca marina) sein. Beide Flechten sollen in der Nordsee vorkommen. Sie ähnen sich sehr von der Farbe und Gesamterscheinung. Ein Unterscheidungsmerkmal soll sein, dass nur die Gelbflechte lappige Ränder ausbildet.
