Deutsch: Als Gemeinschaftsumschalter (GUm) wird ein Gerät zur Mehrfachnutzung einer Amtsleitung mit in der Regel zwei Rufnummern (Zweieranschluss, Mehrfachanschluss oder Gemeinschaftsanschluss) bezeichnet.
Er schaltet den Amtsanruf auf das der jeweiligen Rufnummer zugeordnete Telefon. Ebenso schaltet er das Telefon an die Amtsleitung zur Vermittlungsstelle, sobald der Gabelumschalter des Telefonapparates betätigt (Telefonhörer abgenommen) wird. Das jeweils zweite Telefon am dem Umschalter kann währende dieser Verbindungszeit nicht benutzt werden, es ist inaktiv. Das Gesprächsgeheimnis bleibt immer gewahrt, der zweite Teilnehmer kann auf keinen Fall mithören. Die Gemeinschaftsumschalter wurden von der Vermittlungsstelle gespeist, sie benötigten deshalb keine eigene Stromversorgung. In der Relaistechnik gab es die Umschalter als Beikasten und als elektronische Baugruppe im Telefon. |
