Description

Contemporary Gillray cartoon of George Bussy Villiers with George III about to enter Villier's bedroom, where Villers' wife (Frances Twysden, Countess of Jersey) is in the bed. On the bedroom door is a well-used map of the entrance to "Villiers Harbour".

George Bussy Villiers was the 4th Earl of Jersey, PC (1735–1805), an English nobleman, peer, politician and courtier at the court of George III.
