Deutsch: Nach den Bürgerkriegen in den Jahren 1990-1993 blieben die einstmals mondänen Sanatorien bis ins Jahr 2004 verlassen und geplündert. Auch die Küstenschutzmaßnahmen wurden nicht weiter fortgeführt, was zu starker Erosion der Küste führte. (Aufnahme: Lorenz.King@geogr.uni-giessen.de)
English: After the civil wars of 1990-1993, the once sophisticated sanatoriums remained abandoned and plundered until 2004. The coastal protection measures were also discontinued, which led to severe erosion of the coast. (picture by: Lorenz.King@geogr.uni-giessen.de)
