Description
English: The surrendered German submarine U-805 off Portsmouth, New Hampshire (USA), on 14 May 1945. The ships present are (l-r): USS Guinivere (IX-67), USS Migrant (IX-66), U-805, and a U.S. destroyer escort. U-805 was escorted by USS Otter (DE-210) and USS Varian (DE-798). As Varian escorted U-805 on the port side, the ship visible is probalby Varian and not Otter.
