Summary[edit]

Description

This view of the airport at Gibraltar is from an unusual angle - from the port area. It shows the relatively short runway (built during World War Two). It also shows the sea at each and, and the famous road crossing it. People and vehicles can be seen crossing.

The airport is sometimes called dangerous. It is not. If it were, airlines wouldn't go there.

Since I took this picture a new airport terminal has been built in the area below and to the left of the big aerial tower.

The border with Spain is just behind the airport, to the left of the picture. The famous Rock of Gibraltar and the town are off to the right of the picture.
