Description
English: Gion Higashi maiko Hinayū in Seirai-in Temple. Hinayu's hairstyle is called "sakkō" and includes a crane kanzashi (hairpin) and several tortoiseshell accessories. Sakkō is the last hairstyle worn by maiko before they become a geiko (geisha). Her obi (sash) is styled into "darari": a knot with a long dangling part. The back of her neck with three lines of bare skin is visible. She is wearing tall wooden sandals called okobo. Hinayū works for Okatome okiya.
