Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under og efter den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Dronningens hofdame Julie Parsberg og Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen, der elsker hinanden, mødes i hemmelighed om natten på Jungshoved Slot. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) var en virkelig person, men historien er fiktion. Svend Poulsens udseende er også fantasi, for der kendes ingen portrætter af ham.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during and after the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. The lady-in-waiting, Julie Parsberg, and Gøngehøvdingen, Svend Poulsen, who loves each meets in secret during the night in Jungshoved Castle. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction. The look of Svend Poulsen is also fantasy as there is no known portraits of him.
