Standesscheibe von Glarus, 31.5 x 21.5 cm im Licht. Bannerträger mit 3/4-Harnisch, Schweizerdolch und Schweizersäbel (Schnäpf) mit Löwenkopf, das Banner zeigt den Hl. Fridolin in schwarzer Kutte mit dem Zwickelbild mit Auferstehungsszene, wohl nach der 1513 erstellten Gebrauchskopie des Juliusbanners. Nicht dargestellt ist der damals übliche Quersack oder Rucksack des Heiligen. Der weisse Schwenkel des Banners ist in über das Fahnentuch hinausragender Länge, als eigentlicher Schwenkel dargestellt. Unten rechts das Standeswappen in gleicher Darstellung wie im Banner unter dem gekrönten Reichswappen. Oben links die Szene mit dem Hl. Fridolin und dem Skelett des Ursus. Links und rechts zwei barocke Säulen mit Löwenhäuptern auf den Kapitellen. Inschrift unten: Das Land Glarus 1590. |
