Sei ohne Tugend! doch verliere
Den Vorzug eines Menschen nie!
Denn Wollust fühlen alle Tiere,
Der Mensch allein verfeinert sie.
Laß dich die Lehren nicht verdrießen,
Sie hindern dich nicht am Genuß,
Sie lehren dich, wie man genießen
Und Wollust würdig fühlen muß.


Soll dich kein heilig Band umgeben,
O Jüngling! schränke selbst dich ein!
Man kann in wahrer Freiheit leben,
Und doch nicht ungebunden sein.
Laß nur für Eine dich entzünden,
Und wenn du deinen Wunsch erfüllst,
So laß dich durch die Liebe binden,
Wenn du es durch die Pflicht nicht willst.


Empfinde, Jüngling! Und dann wähle
Ein Mädchen dir, sie wähle dich,
Von Körper schön und schön von Seele,
