Die Kammerjungfer der Königstochter war ein böses Mädchen. Als die Braut auf der Reise trinken wollte, gab die Jungfer den goldenen Becher nicht heraus. Während nun die Prinzessin das Wasser mit den Händen schöpfte, verlor sie das Läppchen mit den drei Blutstropfen und wurde dadurch schwach und machtlos. Die Jungfer bestieg aber unterdessen Falada, das Pferd der Königstochter, und gewann alle Macht über sie. Zuletzt legte die Jungfer die Brautkleider an und die Prinzessin war zur Jungfer geworden. = The king's daughter's maid was a wicked girl. When the bride wanted to drink during the journey, the maid did not give her the golden cup. When the princess was now forced to scoop up the water with her hands, she lost the cloth with the three drops of blood, and became weak and powerless in consequence. Meanwhile the maid mounted Falada, the king's daughter's horse, and gained all power over her. Finally the maid put on the bridal attire, and forced the princess to become her maid.
