| Description |
English: Grassy area and trees, Alexandra Park, Moss Side This grassy area was once fenced off for a putting green. The tarmaced path on the left was red gravel. The cost of maintenance took its toll, as did vandalism. There was no money in Local Authorities for "park keepers". However, the amenity of a green area for the residents of Moss Side still existed to enable them to enjoy some of their leisure in a natural environment. This image was taken in the late 1980's. |
