Taken at Ravensthorpe Reservoir. It is my Birthday tomorrow! I will be 13 and I am going to hopefully get a tripod and a pair of bins. I was hoping if anyone could give me tips on advancing my photography! Thanks for all the Comments and Favs! EXIF: Camera - Nikon D3200 Lens - Sigma 150-500mm F/5-6.3 Apeture - F/8 Exposure - 1/500 ISO - 400 Exposure Bias - 0 Focal Length - 300mm A delightfully elegant waterbird with ornate head plumes which led to its being hunted for its feathers, almost leading to its extermination from the UK. They dive to feed and also to escape, preferring this to flying. On land they are clumsy because their feet are placed so far back on their bodies. They have an elaborate courtship display in which they rise out of the water and shake their heads. Very young grebes often ride on their parents' backs. Status: Green Population: UK Breeding: 5,300 adultsUK Wintering: 23,000 birds |
