Description |
English: The Greymouth Opera House (sometimes called the "bug house") on Tainui Street was the largest wooden building in Greymouth. It caught fire on Sunday 9 February 1958 and burnt to the ground, despite extra crews being brought in from Cobden and Rununga. A set of four photos (before during and after the blaze) were taken by an employee of the Kerridge Odeon cinema chain visiting Greymouth. |
