Description
English: This image shows the portal of the closed silver-mine "Reicher Matthias Erbstolln" in Grund near Wilsdruff.
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das Mundloch der Silbergrube "Reicher Matthias Erbstolln" in Grund am Tharandter Wald. Der ursprünglich 500 m lange Stollen erinnert an die Bergbautradition von Grund, die mindestens bis 1508 zurückreicht. Nur kurzzeitig erbrachte der Stollen zwischen 1845-61 ergiebige Silbererzanbrüche. 1868 wurde die Förderung wegen mangelnder Rentabilität eingestellt. Das verschüttete Mundloch wurde erst 2008 wieder freigelegt, der Stollen selbst ist allerdings nicht öffentlich zugänglich.
