Description
English: Historical and current ranges of the California Condor (Gymnogyps californianus). The white shaded area marks the range in the early 19th century (to the north not extending beyond the south of British Columbia; eastern range limit is rather optimistic). The black shaded area marks the range as it was around 1950. The orange shaded area marks the range as it was in 2012 after almost 20 years of ongoing re-introduction of the species into the wilderness.
Deutsch: Historische und aktuelle Verbreitungsbebiete des Kalifornischen Kondors (Gymnogyps californianus). Die weiß schattierte Fläche markiert die Verbreitung im frühen 19. Jahrhundert (nach Norden nicht über den Süden British Columbias hinaus; die Ostgrenze des Verbreitungsgebietes ist eher optimistisch). Die schwarz schattierte Fläche markiert das Verbreitungsgebiet, wie es um 1950 war. Die orangefarben schattierten Flächen markieren das Verbreitungsgebiet, wie es im Jahr 2012 war, nach 20 Jahren kontinuierlicher Wiederauswilderung der Art.
