Description |
Français : La muse Clio, jeune fille debout, drapée et couronnée de lauriers pose son coude gauche sur le globe terrestre. Sa main gauche désigne avec un stylet l'heure. Le globe est gravé des continents et de certains pays. L'équateur est divisé en deux cercles indépendants l'un de l'autre qui tournent progressivement dans le sens horaire. Sur le cercle supérieur les minutes sont inscrites en caractères arabes sur des plaques émaillées séparées par des feuilles gravées dans des cadres ovales. Sur le cercle inférieur les heures sont inscrites en caractères romains jusqu'à XII séparées par des feuilles dans des losanges. L'ensemble est en bronze doré. |
