| Description |
Deutsch: Hermann wurde am 1. April 1896 als Sohn des Lübecker Arztes geboren. Er besuchte das Katharineum, trat als Kriegsfreiwilliger bei den Lauenburger Jägern in Ratzeburg ein und machte am 17. August 1914 das Notexamen. Bach zweimonatiger Ausbildung in Döberitz kam er als Oberjäger an die Front in den Vogesen. Bald zum Fähnrich dann zum Leutnant befördert, wurde er am 15. Juli 1915 erstmals verwundet lag er zunächst in Saarburg, dann bis zum 15. August im Reservelazarett II in Lübeck. Auf einem verantwortungsvollen Posten bei der Führung einer Kompanie wurde er durch einen Granatschuß bei Massiges schwer verwundet, erlag er kurz danach seinen Verletzungen. |
