English: CARRIER STRIKE GROUP COMPLETES EXERCISE PACIFIC CROWN

Pictured: From front to back are HMCS Winnipeg, HNLMS Evertsen and RFA Tidespring in formation ready for a Cheer ship to JS Ise and JS Izumo.

On 09th September 2021, ships from the Carrier Strike Group conducted a Cheer Ship to farewell the Japanese Ship, JS Ise and JS Izumo as Exercise Pacific Crown comes to an end. Exercise Pacific Crown is to demonstration interoperability of navies from the Britain, America, Canada, Dutch and Japan.

The joint sailing included ships from the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Ships JS Ise, JS Izumo and one ship from the Royal Canadian Navy, HMCS Winnipeg. Other ships included ships from the UK Carrier Strike Group HMS Queen Elizabeth, HMS Defender, HNLMS Evertsen and RFA Tidespring.

The UK Carrier Strike Group includes ships from the United States Navy, The Dutch Navy, and Marines from the US Marine Corps. As well as UK Frigates, Destroyers two RFA supply ships and air assets from 617 Sqn, 820 NAS, 815 NAS and 845 NAS.
