Air photos of Hachirōgata took in 1948 by the US military airplane.
Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Hachirōgata is a lake lying in Akita prefecture, Tohoku region, Japan.
It was the second largest lake in Japan up to its reclamation in 1960s and 18th now. No air photo succeeded to take whole of the lake once before reclamation because of the big size of the lake and lack of technology. Thus the image was made purposed giving natural whole view of the lake. The image was made from 15 air photos which had taken in 1948 by the US military airplane. 日本語: 八郎潟は秋田県にある湖で、かつては日本で2番目に広い湖だった。 1960年代に干拓によって大部分が埋め立てられた結果、現在は八郎潟調整池と称され、面積は18位である。 200平方キロメートルを超える面積は干拓前の技術で全景を撮影することを困難にしており、干拓前の航空写真は断片的なものばかりである。 この画像は、その干拓前の八郎潟の全景を捉えるために作成したものである。 画像は1948年に米軍が撮影した15枚の空中写真をつぎ合わせて作成したものである。 |
