Description
English: Hadleigh Castle Tower Ruins. Construction of Hadleigh Castle begun in 1230 for Hubert de Burgh. Still standing are the remains of two towers and some of the curtain wall. Spectacular views over the Thames estuary and Essex marshes are an added bonus for the visitor to enjoy on a clear day.
