| Description |
English: Hadrian's Wall A section of Hadrian's Wall between Walltown and Walltown Crag. Much of the wall, which ran for 73 miles (117 km) between Bowness-on-Solway near Carlisle and Wallsend near Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, has been removed over the years and used as construction materials for housing and field walling. This wall is now protected by English Heritage through the Countryside Agency so if you see anyone nicking stones, shop 'em. |
