Said to be in the French Royal Collections, from which it was supposedly removed and sold during the Revolution by August Cheval de Saint-Hubert and purchased by General Louis Tourton, 1796 Comte de Betz, before 1847 His sale, 1847, where acquired by Antoine Vincent ("Tableaux à M. Vincent vendu après la Collection du Comte de Betz provenant du General Tourton, Leonard da Vinci et Claude Lorrain.")
