Summary[edit]

Description
English: Wuzhou Celadon Jar. Three Kingdoms Period, 222-280 AD. Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Hangzhou

Wuzhou was a kiln that produced early celadon porcelain in Zhejiang province. The type of design illustrated here was for funeral use. The gourd-shaped vase is augmented by a large human figure that is surrounded by four medium-sized figures, and by several smaller figures, of foreign entertainers. There is a similar example in the Shanghai Museum.
