Summary[edit]

Description

Image depicting a Hanoi street vendor's wooden table containing several dogs stacked on top one another that have been cooked and roasted for human consumption. The animals have the lower portion of their legs removed and their rectal area appears torn and protruding. The skin is a golden brown from cooking, much like a roasted fowl or swine. To the right there are several butchered rib cages also likely to be dog meat. In Hanoi, dogs used as food stuffs are known as "Thịt chó". The photograph was taken at a market in Vietnam.
