Summary
[edit]DescriptionHatch End with Euston - Manchester express geograph-2737562-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Euston - Manchester express at Hatch End. View SE, towards Euston: West Coast Main Line. (See also TQ1391 : Down West Coast Express at Hatch End). The 15.45 Euston - Manchester London Road was running in three parts that Summer Saturday. This part had smart-looking Stanier 'Jubilee' 6P 4-6-0 No. 45674 'Duncan' (built 12/35, withdrawn 6/67 - one of the last). The electric lines to Watford are parting below for the island platform at Htach End. With Harrow Hill in the right distance, this looks like country - but it wasn't. |
