Summary[edit]

Description
English: Haverfordwest County Prison Originally built in 1779, the prison was regarded as inadequate and inhumane by 1818. A new state of the art prison was built and served Pembrokeshire for the next 58 years after which all the prisoners were held at Carmarthen. The prison became the headquarters for the police until 1862 and now houses the Museum and Record Office.
