Description
English: Hawthorne plantation house as it appeared in 1898 — in Prairieville, Hale County, Alabama.
  • It was built in 1835, and later remodeled in the Italian Villa style seen here. It is the only remaining Italianate style house in Hale County, Alabama.
  • This part of Hale County was taken from Marengo County when Hale was created in 1867.
