| Description |
English: Heaton Park Tramway. This heritage type tramway opened around 1980. The double track on this section uses the original tracks laid down as part of the Manchester Corporation tramway system. They were previously used as a siding for trams taking passengers into the park until the tracks were asphalted over in early 1934. The tram is Blackpool & Fleetwood "Box Car" no. 40 and was used here in the early years of this heritage line. It is seen crossing over from one track to the other. About 10 years later it was in Fleetwood for the local transport festival 1060130 |
