From A Voyage to a cartouche belt used by Abyssinian soldiers. No. 6, a brulhe, or glass decanter, out of which the Abyssinians usually drink. holding about three-quarters of a pint. Nos. 6 and 7, gumbas, for holding maiz and soua. No. 8, the common cane-umbrella of the natives. No. 9, a weapon of offence, made by the Wanza-tree wood. No. 11, a junqua, or musical instrument, referred to in p. 447. No. 14, drinking horns manufactured in Abyssinia. No. 15, an ancient stone vase found at Adule, referred to in p. 433. No. 16, a Dumhoeta tomb, referred to in p. 179; and No. 17, a weapon used in Arabia, as well as Abyssinia, made of ivory. * The figure is by accident omitted in the plate.
