Description
English: Hermes Chthonios, marble life-size, of the first decade AD. Found in Paleopolis on Andros. It is possible that this form of Hermes should portray heroized deceased. Roman copy of a work of Praxiteles school years from 350 to 325 BC (See Hermes with Dionysus in Olympia.) Archaeological Museum of Andros, No. 245.
Čeština: Hermés chthonický, mramor v životní velikosti, z prvních desetiletí našeho letopočtu. Nalezený v Paleopolis na Andru. Je možné, že tato podoba Herma měla zpodobňovat heroizovaného nebožtíka. Římská kopie díla z Praxitelovy školy z let 350 až 325 před n. l. (Viz Hermés s Dionýsem v Olympii.) Archeologické muzeum na Andru (v Chóře), No. 245.
