| Description |
English: Hesketh steam winding engine. When Chatterley Whitfield Colliery was a mining museum this was one of the main surface exhibits - a Worsley Mesnes horizontal duplex steam winding engine. It had been restored from a rusty condition and was now resplendent. I dread to think what it looks like 21 years later. |
