| Description |
English: Highfield House, Tarporley Road, Whitchurch. One of several large red-brick houses, probably of late Victorian or Edwardian date, in this part of Tarporley Road (B5476). This example features prominent chimney stacks and brick detailing. The name probably derives from the topography: the farmland on the east side descends relatively steeply from around 115 metres to an area of meres and marshland at around 95 metres in this square and SJ5442 (see 1231165). The tree on the right of frame is a mature monkey puzzle. View from Haroldgate |
