| Description |
Deutsch: Der Stausee Stierwaschboden (im Sprachgebrauch seiner Errichtungszeit 1922-24 "Stauweiher" genannt) sammelt das Wasser der Erlauf für das flussabwärts liegende Kraftwerk Erlaufboden. Das Wasser wird dann durch einen ca. 3,5 km langen Stollen zum Beginn der Druckleitung für das Kraftwerk geleitet. Der Stausee liegt kurz unterhalb des Kraftwerkes Wienerbruck, das seine Energie aber nicht aus diesem Stausee bezieht.
Der Name des Stausees Stierwaschboden hat nichts mit einem Stier (männliches Rind) zu tun, sondern wird von den großen Steinen im Flussgeschiebe der Erlauf an dieser Stelle abgeleitet. Zum Stierwaschboden führen keine Straßen, er ist nur auf schmalen und langen, teilweise steilen Steigen und Fußgängerbrücken durch die Hinteren Tormäuer, die Ötschergräben oder das Lassingtal zu erreichen. Die einzige für größere Gegenstände nutzbare Verbindung mit dem Straßenetz ist ein Schrägaufzug Richtung Wienerbruck. |
