| Description | Linda Finley, deputy for project management for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, speaks to students at Hiram W. Johnson High School in Sacramento, Calif., during a science, technology, engineering and mathematics - or STEM - event Nov. 9, 2012. The district hosted the STEM event for 125 students, discussing STEM-related degrees and careers, and providing three fun and team-focused engineering challenges. “This event is really special,” said Finley. “Coming here as a graduate of Johnson High, Class of 1976, to come back to this school and see the tremendous changes, and incredible support for students that have a skill set towards math and science - it's just such a wonderful, warm feeling for me.” (U.S. Army photo by Carlos J.
