Anciennes appartenances: Pillias Me

Historique: Le portrait est postérieur à 1738, date à laquelle le prince reçut la Toison d'Or. Le modèle semble âgé de 17 ou 18 ans, ce qui placerait le tableau vers 1742/43. Mais il y a à l'arrière plan une scène de bataille. Le duc s'est distingué à Fontenoy (1745) et à Raucoux (1746).
