Bus 24 is een luxe Postbus (Reisecar) uit de laatste grote serie Saurer Alpenwagens die de Zwitserse Post vanaf eind jaren 70 in dienst stelde. Saurer bouwde weliswaar chassis-motoren en autobussen van bijzonder goede kwaliteit, maar kon niet meer concurreren met de standaardbussen die in die jaren op de markt kwamen, reden waarom de produktie in 1985 gestaakt is.

Deze serie bussen werd wel de Rolls Royce onder de autobussen genoemd vanwege hun degelijkheid en comfort. De korte wielbasis, het grote motorvermogen en de speciale afmetingen, maakte de bus bij uitstek geschikt om dienst te doen in de Alpen. Een aantal bussen was voorzien van luxe extra's om ingezet te kunnen worden voor reisgezelschappen, toeristische routes over Alpenpassen e.d.

Nu is de bus heel geregeld onderweg voor trouwvervoer en familiedagen en bedrijfsuitstapjes.
