Français : Four convertisseur proposé par John Hollway en 1879 pour fondre les pyrites en matte de cuivre. Ce four est conçu pour réaliser à la fois la fusion et un affinage partiel. Il n'a débouché sur aucune application industrielle.
English: Smelting and converting furnace proposed by John Hollway in 1879, to smelt pyrites into copper matte. This furnace is designed to realize both smelting and partial refining. It has never been followed by any industrial example.
