English: PH Coll 41.30b Bishop William Carpenter Bompas was a missionary from the Church of England to northwestern Canada and the first Anglican bishop of the region. After several years of roving between forts, Bishop Bompas took control of various mission posts. In 1905, he resigned his position, and June 9, 1906, he died in Caribou Crossing (Carcross), Yukon Territory.
