English: Hooded Crow (Corvus cornix), Uyeasound What looks like a granite boulder is, in fact, the corpse of a large bull Grey Seal (Halichoerus grypus) and the white patches are where the blubber has been exposed by birds pecking at the body, with the red flesh only visible in the deepest punctures. |
