Summary[edit]

Description
Nederlands: In de oxystaalfabriek wordt het staal via een tapgat uit de converter gegoten in de staalpan. De staalpan kan 100 ton staal bevatten en is voorzien van een vuurvaste wand om te voorkomen dat de staalpan smelt. Het slak dat achterblijft in de converter gaat in de slakpan. De staalpan gevuld met heet staal werd boven een treinwagon met blokvormen gehesen. Hier werden de blokvormen gevuld met het staal uit de staalpan. Bij het continue gieten wordt het staal uit de staalpan direct in plakken gegoten.
