| Description |
English: March 27, 1942: USS Hornet (CV-8) in the Measure 12 (Modified) camouflage (Navy Blue, Ocean Gray and Haze Gray) is anchored at North Island, San Diego. The ship is equiped with two Mk 37 directors with Mk 4 fire-contol radars (above the bridge and behind the funnel), YE racon, SC radar and IFF (on the mast). Note the hanging pipes (for the refueling on see) on the ship-side.
Čeština: 27. března 1942: USS Hornet (CV-8) v kamufláži Measure 12 (Modified) je zakotven u North Island v San Diego.
