For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Klinik für Innere Medizin, Arztvisite ADN-ZB Sindermann 9.8.88 Rostock: Krankenhausbehandlung. Die medizinische Betreuung an der Klinik für Innere Medizin (KIM) der Wilhelm-Pieck-Universität erfolgt in hoher Qualität und Wirksamkeit. OMR Prof. Dr. sc. med. Dr. h. c. mult. Horst Klinkmann (2.v.r.), Direktor dieser Klinik, leitet, koordiniert und kontrolliert die daignostische, therapeutische und pflegerische Arbeit. Das abgestimmte Zusammenwirken berät er mit den Leitern von zehn Abteilungen. Dem dienen auch regelmäßige Visiten mit ihm und Dozent Dr. Sc. med. Diplom-Physiker Dieter Falkenhagen (links), Dr. Eberhard Schmitt (2.v.l.) und Stationsarzt Dr. Wolfgang Ramlow (rechts). Prof. Klinkmann ist Präsident des Rates für Medizinische Wissenschaften der DDR, Leiter der Hauptforschungsrichtung "Künstlicher Organersatz und Biomaterialien" der Republik und gleichzeitig Präsident der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Dialyse und Transplantation und der Europäischen Gesellschaft für Künstliche Organe.
