English: Houses in Worthenbury Worthenbury is a very nice village, although seemingly at risk from being swamped with new housing. It is mentioned in the Domesday book as Hurdingburie - Anglo-Saxon for 'a defended enclosure'. However, most of the more interesting buildings date from the 18th and 19th century. |
