Description
English: A two-storey house with a small garden in Bahçelievler, Çankaya district, Ankara. "Bahçelievler", in Turkish, means "Houses with gardens", because it was planned to be such an urban division with the establishment of Ankara as capital of the newly proclaimed Turkish Republic. However, time worked against individual houses and now the city quarter called "Houses with gardens" is full of apartment buildings, most without proper (proportionate to their dimension) gardens. At least buildings higher than four levels are not permitted; although there are several exceptions. One of the few remaining houses with gardens in Bahçelievler, probably recently renewed.
