| Description |
English: Hull City in the Premier League With the chants of "Deano! Deano!" ringing out around Hull city centre, bleached blond footballer Dean Windass is overcome with emotion at the rapturous reception by fans as the team's tour bus arrives outside the City Hall on Paragon Street. Until two days ago, Hull had the unenviable distinction of being the largest conurbation in England never to have had a football team compete in the top division. Thanks to a spectacular goal by 39 year old Hull-born striker Windass in the playoff final at Wembley, the club's 104 year wait is finally over. |
