Deutsch: Hussenstein in Konstanz, Gedenktafel fürJan Hus. Der 350 Zentner schwere Findling liegt an dem Ort, an dem der böhmische Reformator Jan Hus (am 6. Juli 1415) und sein Freund und Mitstreiter Hieronymus von Prag (am 30. Mai 1416) als Ketzer während des Konstanzer Konzils verbrannt wurden. Der mit Spendengeldern finanzierte Gedenkstein aus schwärzlichem Kalkstein wurde am 6. Oktober 1862 eingeweiht. Regelmäßig am 6. Juli ist der Hussenstein Schauplatz der jährlichen Gedenkfeier für Jan Hus und Hieronymus von Prag.
Čeština: Hussenstein v Kostnici, pamětní deska pro Jana Husa. Tento 35.000 kg těžký balvan označí místo, kde český reformátor Jan Hus (6. července 1415) a jeho přítel a spolupracovník Jeroným Pražský (30. května 1416) byli upáleni jako kacíři, v průběhu zasedání Kostnického koncilu. Pamětní kámen z načernalého vápence byl financovaný z darů a byl slavnostně zasvěcen 6. října 1862. Pravidelně 6. července je Hussenstein místem pro roční památku Jana Husa a Jeronýma Pražského.
English: Hussenstein in Konstanz, plaque for Jan Hus. This erratic block with 35.000 kg weight marks the place where the Bohemian reformer Jan Hus (6 July 1415) and his a friend and fellow Jerome of Prague (30 May 1416) have been burned as heretic during the Council of Constance. The memorial stone from blackish limestone was funded by donations. It was inaugurated on October 6, 1862. Regularly on July 6, the Hussenstein is venue for the annual commemoration of Jan Hus and Jerome of Prague. |
