English: *** Local Caption *** Indo-Pacific Endeavour (IPE) is Australia’s flagship regional engagement activity, supporting the Government’s commitment to strengthen military partnerships.IPE22 will conduct focused activities across Southeast Asia and the Northeast Indian Ocean, reinforcing Australia’s commitment to an open, inclusive and resilient region.Five ships, 11 helicopters and nearly 1800 personnel will conduct activities with 14 countries from 26 September to 26 November 2022, returning to Australia by mid-December.In collaboration with the host nations, personnel will participate in military exercises, workshops, training, sporting events, and cultural activities. IPE will deepen cooperation on issues ranging from humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to gender, peace and security.IPE22 includes HMA Ships Adelaide, Anzac, Arunta, Hobart and Stalwart, members of the Australian Army’s 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, and Royal Australian Air Force air mobility aircraft.IPE22 also has representatives from across the Australian government, including the Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force, and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It will also involve participation by Australian defence industry.
